Deacons

Be Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, Faithful in Prayer (Romans 12:12)
In late May, the Deacons donated a $100 Kroger gift card to the Desario family of Kirkersville after the tragic shooting of Mr. Desario in the line of duty as a police officer.

On June 11, Justine Brooks, one of our Deacons, was commissioned as a Stephen Minister at a ceremony held at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. She spent several months studying for this position and we are very proud of her accomplishments. She will be recognized during an upcoming church service at Parkview. Congratulations, Justine!

On June 13, we purchased $100 in items for the Helping Hands Food Pantry as part of our quarterly donations to this very worthy cause.
Please keep our shut-ins in mind.  They can always use a call, visit or a note.  Alleyne Morison was 101 in July and her family would like to thank everyone who helped her celebrate by sending her a birthday greeting.  She is truly a blessing and enjoyed her birthday, and cards, very much.  Please contact one of the Deacons for information about any of our shut-ins.
We hope you are beginning to think about our Shoe Box Ministry so that you can take advantage of all the school supplies on sale at this time.  We plan to donate the filled boxes we receive to a Reynoldsburg elementary and a Pickerington elementary.   If enough boxes are received, we will donate the extras to a second Reynoldsburg elementary.  The schools are always very thankful to receive our donations and we know the children are very happy as well.  More information will be forthcoming on this ministry.
